Monica Monday Quoted in Virginia Business Magazine Article “Lawyer or Boss?”

Managing Partner Monica Monday is quoted in a recent Virginia Business magazine article entitled “Lawyer or Boss?”  The article details the challenges managing partners face in their dual roles of serving clients in legal matters and managing the needs of an entire law firm. The article was written by Richard Foster.

In the article, Monday offers “I wouldn’t have taken the job if it had meant giving up my practice for management. I love to practice law … That’s just an important part of who I am.”

Monday headed the firm’s Appellate practice for many years prior to being named Managing Partner in 2013. In addition to continuing to lead the Appellate group, she handles broader issues and the direction of the firm’s overall management, while still ensuring she provides time for clients, lawyers, and staff at the firm.
