  • Successfully represented the appellant before the Supreme Court of Virginia in a personal injury case. Rascher v. Friend, 689 S.E.2d 661 (Va. 2010)
  • Successfully represented the appellants before the Supreme Court of Virginia in a breach of contract action. Dunn Construction Co., Inc. v. Cloney, 278 Va. 260, 682 S.E.2d 943 (2009)
  • Successfully represented the appellant before the Fourth Circuit in a products liability case involving mining equipment. Kennedy v. Joy Techs., Inc., 269 Fed. Appx. 302 (4th Cir. 2008)
  • Persuaded the Supreme Court of Virginia to reverse a trial court's dismissal of a wrongful death action in a case resolved by unpublished order
  • Successfully represented the appellant before the Supreme Court of Virginia in a case concerning the scope of the intermediate appellate court's ability to sanction litigants. Switzer v. Switzer, 273 Va. 326, 641 S.E.2d 80 (2007)
  • Won a plaintiff's verdict for a contract mining company on breach of contract and fraud claims after an eight-day jury trial
  • Defended a construction company against breach-of-contract claim; won on a Motion to Strike, and recovered attorneys' fees for client
  • Represented a real estate consortium in a suit for specific performance of a commercial sale and purchase contract. Resolved the litigation by closing the commercial real estate transaction
  • Successfully represented a manufacturer of chemical products in a products liability action
  • Helped represent an international financial institution in connection with simultaneous multilateral government and other investigations
  • Assisted with a bankrupt energy company's spin-off of its portfolio of international project-financed assets
