Heather R. Willis has joined the Virginia law firm of Gentry Locke Rakes & Moore as an associate attorney in the firm's Business Law practice group.
Prior to joining Gentry Locke, Willis served as a legal clerk at Gilbert A. Bartlett, P.C. in Williamsburg, Va. Her experience includes conducting legal research and preparing memoranda in the fields of environmental disputes, land use regulations, real estate transactions, corporate law, insurance, shareholder rights, trusts and estates, and bankruptcy.
Willis received her juris doctor in 2009 from The William & Mary Law School where she was honored by being appointed Senior Articles Editor for the William and Mary Journal of Women and the Law (Vol. 15). Willis received a B.A. in English from East Carolina University with a double major in History and graduated summa cum laude.
