Chris Lagow is a member of the firm’s General Commercial Practice Group where he focuses on corporate governance, regulatory affairs, complex business litigation and financial services. Before joining Gentry Locke, Chris served as Executive Vice President and General Counsel of PRA Group, a global leader in the acquisition and collection of non-performing consumer loans. He has significant global experience in the financial services industry, handling complex litigation, regulatory compliance, corporate governance and business transactions.

Experience
- At PRA, led international teams responsible for litigation, regulatory compliance, privacy, corporate and securities transactions and government relations.
- Managed response, negotiation and resolution of more than a dozen investigations launched by state attorneys general and federal regulators.
- Managed nationwide team of internal and external counsel in the handling and resolution of hundreds of suits filed annually, including dozens filed as class actions, citing a myriad of consumer protection statute violations.
- Led significant integrations of operational changes driven by legislative and regulatory mandates, as well as international M&A activity.
- Directed PRA’s legal diligence efforts in $1.4 billion acquisition of Aktiv Kapital, involving operations in multiple countries across Europe.
