Gentry Locke Partner Thomas J. Bondurant, Jr. Named to the Forbes 2025 America’s Best-In-State Lawyers List
ROANOKE, Va. (December 9, 2025) – The Virginia law firm Gentry Locke is proud to announce that Partner Thomas J. Bondurant Jr. has been named to the 2025 Forbes America’s Best-in-State Lawyers list, an inaugural recognition that highlights the nation’s top legal talent. Bondurant is one of only eight lawyers selected in Virginia, the only Virginia lawyer recognized in the area of white collar defense, and one of just twenty attorneys nationwide honored for excellence in white collar defense.
Bondurant leads the firm’s White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance practice group. He represents corporations and individuals in all phases of the criminal process and conducts corporate internal investigations. His distinguished career has earned him induction as a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers, one of the most prestigious legal honors in the country. Both he and the firm’s White Collar Defense, Investigations & Compliance practice are ranked Band 1 by Chambers USA, the highest level of recognition awarded. Prior to joining Gentry Locke, he served as a federal prosecutor for 29 years, during which he tried more than 200 criminal jury trials, many involving complex matters such as white collar fraud, tax issues, public corruption, healthcare fraud, regulatory offenses, and racketeering.
