  • Transactional attorney - Lynchburg

    Gentry Locke, a dynamic and progressive law firm in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Richmond, VA is seeking a qualified attorney to join our firm’s General Commercial group. This position will work primarily out of our Lynchburg office. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience handling transactional matters. Additional requirements include a working knowledge of private mergers and acquisitions, complex contract drafting, and commercial real estate transactions. In order to be successful in our fast-paced environment, candidates must possess a high level of personal motivation and be detail-oriented. Virginia State Bar membership, or the ability to apply for reciprocity to the Virginia State Bar, is required. Gentry Locke offers competitive compensation and benefits.   • Transactional attorney - Richmond

    The Virginia law firm of Gentry Locke, with offices in Roanoke, Lynchburg, and Richmond, is seeking a qualified attorney to join our firm’s General Commercial Practice Group. This position will work primarily out of our Richmond office. Candidates must have a minimum of 3 years of experience, with preference given to individuals with commercial real estate and tax experience. In order to be successful in our fast-paced environment, candidates must possess excellent written and verbal communication skills, a high level of personal motivation, and strong problem-solving skills. Virginia State Bar membership required or the ability to apply for reciprocity to the Virginia Bar.

  • Legal Assistant

    Gentry Locke Attorneys is recruiting two legal assistants to join our team in the Roanoke, Virginia office. In order to be successful in this fast-paced team environment, candidates must be detail-oriented with exceptional communication and organizational skills. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence from draft or dictated text, scheduling, opening files, organizing and maintaining documents, communicating with clients and timekeeping. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and the willingness to learn new computer skills. The opening in the Plaintiff’s Practice Group requires a minimum of 2 years’ experience as a legal assistant with an emphasis on litigation strongly preferred. The opening in the Insurance Practice Group requires 2-3 years’ experience as a legal assistant, preferably in workers’ compensation.

Candidates must have 1-6 years’ of experience in mergers, acquisitions, commercial and business transactions, business entity formation and operation, commercial real estate transactions, or tax. In order to be successful in our fast-paced environment, attention to detail, a high-level of personal motivation and strong problem-solving skills are essential. Virginia State Bar membership required.
