  • Employment Associate

    Gentry Locke has an immediate need for a motivated employment associate with a minimum of 2 years’ experience to join our Labor & Employment team in Roanoke, Va. The successful candidate will be expected to possess a strong work ethic, exceptional analytical, research and oral/written communication skills, leadership and team-building skills, and a passion for this area of the law.  The candidate should also have a desire to participate actively in litigation and trials, the ability to think creatively and spontaneously on her or his feet,  the confidence and experience to interact with clients and the ability to work collaboratively as part of a team. Federal court clerkship or experience preferred.  If not currently a member, the selected candidate must become a member of the Virginia State Bar within ten months.

  • Commercial Attorneys for Roanoke, Virginia and Richmond, Virginia

    The Virginia law firm of Gentry Locke is seeking two qualified associates to join the firm’s Commercial Practice Group. One position will work out of the Roanoke office and the other position will be in Richmond. The ideal candidate should have 2 – 5 years’ experience in tax, mergers and acquisitions, securities, finance, real estate or similar matters. In order to be successful in our fast-paced environment, attention to detail, a high-level of personal motivation, excellent writing skills and strong problem-solving skills are required. Juris Doctor from an accredited law school required. Virginia State Bar membership preferred.

  • Human Resources Administrative Assistant

    Gentry Locke Attorneys is seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team as a Human Resources Assistant. This full-time position will support all aspects of the Human Resources department by performing a variety of administrative tasks. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, reviewing timecards for accuracy, keying payroll updates, reconciliation of invoices, maintaining electronic files, assisting with onboarding, scheduling and providing support to the reception team. In order to be successful in this fast-paced environment, candidates must be able to communicate effectively, maintain confidentiality, be detail-oriented, and have exceptional organizational skills. A minimum of two years’ experience as an administrative or executive assistant required; payroll experience preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and the willingness to learn new technology.

  • Litigation Associate – Civil Defense

    Gentry Locke Attorneys is seeking a litigation associate to join its Richmond office. This position will assist in all aspects of trial and case development, including drafting of pleadings and briefs, producing and reviewing pretrial discovery, engaging in witness preparation, performing legal research, analysis of case law, and participating in trials.  Candidates should have 1-2 years’ experience, be licensed in Virginia, and have a strong academic record.

  • Litigation Legal Assistant

    Gentry Locke Attorneys is seeking a motivated Legal Assistant to join the Roanoke office. This position works directly with multiple attorneys assisting in all aspects of trial and case management. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, preparing correspondence, scheduling, opening files, timekeeping, and client interaction. A successful candidate will be a team-player, ambitious, and organized and can work well in a fast-paced environment. Litigation and criminal investigations experience preferred. Candidates must have demonstrated knowledge of Microsoft Office and the willingness to expand on and learn additional technology skills.
