Gentry Locke Partner Thomas Bondurant, Jr. Receives Distinguished Achievement Award from Emory & Henry College
ROANOKE, Va. (March, 2017) – Thomas J. Bondurant, Jr., a partner in the Roanoke, Va., office of Gentry Locke, has been named by Emory & Henry College as the 2017 recipient of its E&H Distinguished Achievement Award. The award is granted annually to an alumnus/a who has attained distinguished achievements in a professional or volunteer capacity.
Bondurant, who graduated with a B.A., cum laude, class of 1976, will be honored at the Emory & Henry College Founder’s Day on March 23, which pays tribute to the school’s founders and awardees.
“I am honored to be recognized by Emory & Henry College and to join a list of distinguished alumni from across Virginia and the U.S. who have made contributions to their professions and communities,” said Bondurant.
The E&H Alumni Awards were established by the E&H Alumni Association in 1973 to recognize alumni annually who are making outstanding contributions to their careers and communities.
Bondurant is chair of the firm’s Criminal & Government Investigations Practice Group and a partner who represents corporations and individuals in all phases of the criminal process and conducts corporate internal investigations. Before joining the firm, he served as a federal prosecutor for 30 years, and tried more than 200 criminal jury trials, many involving complex matters including white collar fraud, tax issues, public corruption, healthcare fraud, regulatory matters and racketeering.
Bondurant is a Fellow of the American College of Trial Lawyers and the Virginia Law Foundation. He is consistently noted among the Best Lawyers in America for Corporate Compliance Law and White Collar Criminal Defense. He also is regularly recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyer in the areas of Criminal Defense and White Collar Crime.
