What made you decide to pursue a law degree?
I wanted to serve others. When I left my career in the transportation industry, I knew that I wanted to use my talents to impact other people’s lives positively. The law provides a great way for me to do that. Law is the intersection of solving puzzles and helping individuals with some of their toughest challenges, so I find it incredibly rewarding.

What’s on your bucket list?
I’ve always wanted to do something physically monumental, though my inconsistent gym schedule does not always reflect that desire. Some of the candidates include hiking the Appalachian Trail, complete a triathlon, or climb one of the Seven Summits.

Do you like to travel?
Yes! I love to travel—and it doesn’t really matter where I’m headed. I love all forms of transportation: cars, planes, trains, buses, ships—each one is interesting in its own way. I spent just shy of five years in the transit industry doing Department of Transportation and Federal Transit Administration compliance, so I’m a big fan of transportation in general. Going somewhere fun is just a bonus to me.
