What is your favorite thing to do when you’re not working?
When I am not in the office, I make the most of my time by staying active and connecting with friends and family. I especially enjoy going for runs, often with my yellow lab, Carson, by my side. In addition to running, I love spending quality time with friends, whether we’re catching up on the golf course, trying a new restaurant, or enjoying a night out. Watching sports is another passion of mine. During football and hockey season, you’ll likely find me at a stadium or gathered with friends in front of the TV, cheering on my favorite teams: the Virginia Tech Hokies, the Philadelphia Eagles, and the Carolina Hurricanes.

You like to travel. Tell us about your favorite countries and cities to visit.
Traveling is something I truly enjoy, and one of my most memorable experiences was a three-week trip through Europe to celebrate passing the bar exam. Along with friends, I explored Croatia, Austria, Hungary, and the Czech Republic. Each country offered its own unique charm, making it difficult to choose a favorite. In Croatia, we stayed inside the historic city walls of Dubrovnik and even went cliff jumping into the Adriatic Sea. A day trip to Hvar led us to the green and blue caves, where I had the chance to hold a sea urchin. Budapest surprised us with an incredible fireworks display during a national holiday, which we all agreed were the best we’d ever seen. In Prague, themed speakeasies made every night exciting and memorable. I’d revisit every city we saw! Every stop on the journey provided something special, making the trip truly unforgettable and impossible to replicate.

What life lesson do you think we all should follow?
Don’t be afraid to fail. Every tough situation, failure, or mistake holds an important lesson. When things don’t go exactly as planned, it doesn’t mean the experience was wasted or without value. Recognizing that there is something to learn from every mistake is something we all should do to help shift our perspectives. Rather than focusing on the negatives, I now approach challenges as opportunities for growth. This mindset has allowed me to let go of disappointment more easily and move forward with greater resilience.
