On July 15, 2017, attendees at the Virginia Transportation Construction Alliance’s Annual Conference learned about “Doing Business Together – Ten Things to Consider Before You Sign,” a joint presentation by Gentry Locke attorneys Brett Marston and Andrew Gay, and Billy Robinson of Brown Edwards CPAs.

The event took place at The Omni Homestead in Hot Springs, Virginia. The VTCA is the leading advocate and only state association exclusively dedicated to serving the contractors, aggregate producers, engineers, suppliers and service providers who design, build and maintain Virginia’s transportation network.

K. Brett Marston chairs the Construction Law practice group at Gentry Locke. Brett has extensive experience in construction contract negotiations and preparation, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, bond claims, construction defects, delay claims, insurance, and OSHA matters. He handles significant construction matters in federal and state courts, arbitration, and mediation for general contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals, and suppliers.

Andrew Gay assists contractors and builders with issues otherwise might disrupt their projects or the success of their business. Prior to joining Gentry Locke, Andrew served as Associate General Counsel for a multi-million dollar construction company. Andrew is licensed to practice in Virginia and Florida.
