Gentry Locke Welcomes the 2026 Summer Associate Class

ROANOKE, Va. (May 29, 2026) – The Virginia law firm Gentry Locke is excited to welcome seven law students as Summer Associates for the 2026 summer program: John Camacho, Carly Carpenter, Laney Hull, Sam McGuinn, Randall “Randy” Shirey, Brendan Wells, and Cole Younger. These future attorneys bring diverse academic experiences, strong intellectual curiosity, and a shared commitment to excellence in the legal profession.

Camacho is pursuing his J.D. at the Washington & Lee School of Law. He will work in our Roanoke office and has earned his bachelor’s degree from Roanoke College.

Carpenter is attending William & Mary Law School and will work in our Roanoke office. She earned her bachelor’s degree from Louisiana State University.

Hull attends the University of Richmond School of Law and will work in our Richmond office. She received her bachelor’s degree from Virginia Tech.

McGuinn is studying at the Wake Forest University School of Law and will work in our Roanoke office. He earned his bachelor’s degree from the University of South Carolina.

Shirey is pursuing his J.D. at the Liberty University School of Law and will work in our Lynchburg office. Shirey received his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Liberty University.

Wells attends the Liberty University School of Law and will work in our Roanoke office. Wells received his bachelor’s degree from Clemson University.

Younger is attending William & Mary Law School and will work in our Richmond office. Younger earned his bachelor’s degree from William & Mary.
