Gentry Locke Welcomes Attorney Kelsie J. Simpson and Welcomes Back Attorney Phoebe M. Brannock to the Firm
ROANOKE, Va. | RICHMOND, Va. (October 26, 2026) – Gentry Locke is pleased to announce that Kelsie J. Simpson has joined the firm as an Associate in its Personal Injury practice group and Phoebe M. Brannock has returned to the firm as an Associate in its General Commercial practice group.
Simpson focuses her practice on representing individuals and families whose lives have been impacted by serious injuries caused by car crashes, medical malpractice, product defects, and other acts of negligence. She joins Gentry Locke with a strong foundation in judicial procedure, having most recently served as a law clerk for the judges of Virginia’s 23rd Judicial Circuit. She resides in our Roanoke office.
During law school, Simpson gained valuable experience through an externship with the Honorable Marissa D. Mitchell of the Henrico County Juvenile and Domestic Relations Court, as well as internships with the Richmond Office of the City Attorney and the Virginia Employment Commission’s First Level of Appeals. She also served as a member of Richmond Law’s Trial Advocacy Board. Her diverse legal background provides a unique perspective that will benefit clients navigating complex personal injury matters.
Brannock returns to Gentry Locke after practicing with an Am Law 200 firm, where she advised a broad range of clients on sophisticated real estate and business transactions. Her practice is concentrated in commercial transactions such as real estate, land use, and zoning matters. She counsels developers, businesses, and individuals on the planning, structuring, and execution of projects and transactions throughout Virginia.
“We are excited to welcome Kelsie to our Personal Injury team,” said Managing Partner K. Brett Marston. “She brings a thoughtful, client-focused approach and valuable courtroom insight that will be a tremendous asset to our clients. We are equally excited to welcome Phoebe back to the firm. Her experience advising clients on complex commercial and real estate matters, combined with her strong relationships throughout Virginia’s business community, will further strengthen the exceptional service we provide.”
As Gentry Locke continues to grow across Virginia, the firm remains focused on attracting talented attorneys who share its commitment to delivering practical, results-driven counsel and building lasting client relationships.
