Gentry Locke Partner Karen L. Cohen and Associate Jared A. Tuck Recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
ROANOKE, Va. | RICHMOND, Va. (October 29, 2026) – Gentry Locke is pleased to announce that Karen L. Cohen has been named to the Virginia Lawyers Weekly 2026 Leaders in the Law list and Jared A. Tuck has been named to the publication’s 2026 Up and Coming Lawyers list. Honorees will be recognized at the Virginia Lawyers Weekly celebration on October 29 in Midlothian.
Now in its 21st year, the Virginia Lawyers Weekly Leaders in the Law awards recognize lawyers across the Commonwealth who are setting the standard for other Virginia lawyers. “Leaders” are changing the law, serving the community, changing practices, or improving Virginia’s justice system, among other accomplishments. The Up and Coming Lawyer program, now in its 11th year, recognizes lawyers across the Commonwealth who are making their mark within their first 10 years of practice.

Cohen is a member of Gentry Locke’s Real Estate, Land Use & Zoning and Solar & Renewable Energy practice groups. She assists clients obtaining approvals for solar and energy storage projects and advises developers on real estate transactions, the entitlement process, environmental issues, and general corporate matters. Karen co-chairs the Land Use and Environmental Committee of the Real Property Section of the Virginia State Bar and previously served as Chair of the Section. She is a member of CREW (Commercial Real Estate Women) Richmond, GRACRE (Greater Richmond Association for Commercial Real Estate), and WRISE (Virginia Chapter of Women in Renewable Industries & Sustainable Energy).
Tuck is a member of the firm’s Personal Injury practice group. He is a trial attorney who focuses on helping clients that face catastrophic injury and wrongful death matters arising from tractor-trailer, car, and motorcycle crashes, as well as defective products. Jared has helped injured plaintiffs recover over $44,000,000 in settlements, and has obtained two seven figure jury verdicts in his first three years of practice.
