Gentry Locke Partner Guy M. Harbert, III Named Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Hall of Fame Class of 2026
ROANOKE, Va. (April 7, 2026) – The Virginia law firm Gentry Locke is pleased to announce that Guy M. Harbert, III, a partner in the firm’s Litigation practice, has been selected as a member of Virginia Lawyers Weekly’s Hall of Fame Class of 2026. The award recognizes Virginia’s most significant senior lawyers.

Harbert serves as General Counsel for Gentry Locke. For over 40 years, he has represented clients before trial and appellate courts throughout Virginia on insurance coverage, insurance defense, commercial litigation, and white-collar and other criminal defense matters. He is an active member of the Virginia Association of Defense Attorneys and a frequent lecturer and author on insurance litigation issues. Guy is consistently noted as a Virginia Super Lawyer in Personal Injury General: Defense, and since 2012 has consistently earned a spot on the Best Lawyers in America list for Insurance Law.
Membership in the Hall of Fame is reserved for Virginia lawyers who are 60 years of age and older. Inclusion is determined by career accomplishments, contributions to the development of the law in Virginia, to the bar, to the Commonwealth of Virginia, and efforts to improve the quality of justice in Virginia.
