Gentry Locke Partner Alicha M. Grubb Named to Influential Women of Law Class of 2026 by Virginia Lawyers Weekly
ROANOKE, Va. (February 27, 2026) – The Virginia law firm Gentry Locke is pleased to announce that partner Alicha M. Grubb has been selected as a member of the Virginia Lawyers Weekly Influential Women of Law Class of 2026, an honor recognizing outstanding women attorneys across the Commonwealth for their leadership, professional excellence, and impact on the legal profession.
She becomes the seventh woman from Gentry Locke to receive this prestigious recognition, underscoring the firm’s continued commitment to advancing women in the legal profession and celebrating excellence in leadership and service.
The Influential Women of Law program honors women attorneys and judges who have made significant contributions to the practice of law, demonstrated leadership in their careers, and served as role models and mentors within the profession and their communities.
“We are incredibly proud of Alicha and for her well-deserved recognition,” said Managing Partner, K. Brett Marston. “Alicha is deeply dedicated to the practice of law and to serving her clients at the highest level, and this honor is a true reflection of her impact both within our firm and across the legal community.”
Grubb is an integral member of Gentry Locke’s Commercial Litigation and Construction practice groups. Her practice encompasses a wide range of commercial litigation matters, with a focus on construction-related issues including contract negotiations, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, construction defects, and delay claims. She regularly represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers, and design professionals in complex disputes across the Commonwealth.
She is one of the only attorneys in Virginia who represents heavy-duty towing and recovery companies in matters related to highway cleanup in connection with VDOT programs, providing highly specialized counsel in a niche and critical area of infrastructure and transportation law.
Grubb currently serves as Chair of the Virginia Bar Association Young Lawyers Division and was named Young Lawyer of the Year by the Roanoke Bar Association in 2025. She was also recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyers Rising Star in Construction Litigation and named to the Virginia Business Legal Elite for Young Lawyers in 2025.
Grubb and the other members of the Influential Women of Law Class of 2026 were formally recognized by Virginia Lawyers Weekly at an awards ceremony at the John Marshall Ballrooms in Richmond on February 26th.
