Nick Leitch focused the first thirty years of his law practice on the defense of medical malpractice and products liability claims. His clients included a wide variety of health care providers, including physicians, nurses, hospitals, managed care organizations, nursing homes, assisted living facilities, and ancillary health care providers. He now uses that wealth of experience to represent people who have been injured as a result of substandard health care.
Nick has lectured on various issues concerning medical negligence cases, including EMTALA (Emergency Medical Transfer and Active Labor Act), informed consent, patient confidentiality, and general quality assurance/risk management topics to numerous groups of medical professionals, such as the Alleghany-Bath Medical Society, the Virginia Society of Hospital Risk Managers, Virginia Western Community College, and the Parish Nurse Association. He has been recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyer in Personal Injury Defense: Medical Malpractice since 2013, and has been listed with Best Lawyers in America for Medical Malpractice Defense consistently since 2010.

Alicha Grubb works in the Commercial Litigation and Construction groups. Alicha handles a variety of commercial litigation matters, including construction matters related to contract negotiations, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, construction defects, and delay claims for owners, general contractors, subcontractors, suppliers and design professionals. Alicha is also one of the only attorneys in the Commonwealth who represents heavy-duty towing and recovery companies related to highway clean up in connection with VDOT programs. Together with the Governmental and Regulatory Affairs group, Gentry Locke assists these companies in securing favorable legislation and case law. Alicha also handles general disputes involving commercial real estate, corporate management, personal business concerns, and complex litigation matters. Currently, Alicha sits as the Chair of the Virginia Bar Association’s Young Lawyers Division (YLD). Prior to joining Gentry Locke, Alicha was a law clerk for the Twenty-third Judicial Circuit.

Kirk Sosebee practices in the firm’s Construction Industry and Business Litigation sections. In his construction practice, Kirk represents owners, general contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers with issues relating to both road building and vertical construction projects, including construction contract negotiations and preparation, payment disputes, mechanic’s liens, construction defects, delay claims, and OSHA matters. Kirk also has extensive experience representing design and engineering firms, including in several multi-million dollar disputes relating to alleged design defects, geotechnical engineering, and construction materials observation, testing, and inspections. Kirk is licensed to practice law in Virginia and the District of Columbia.

Amanda Morgan is a Partner in Gentry Locke’s commercial litigation practice group where she serves diverse clients in a variety of complex lawsuits including contract and business disputes; estate litigation; product, premises and general liability claims; and employment issues. She also represents a number of governmental clients including community service boards, school boards, and local governments. Additionally, she assists clients before and in the early stages of litigation by applying practical, business, and legal solutions which often allow them to avoid expensive and lengthy litigation. Amanda also regularly advises businesses on employment best practices including hiring, onboarding, and policies and handbooks.

Evans Edwards is an attorney in Gentry Locke’s Plaintiff’s practice group. Evans previously served as an associate attorney with several law firms. He also served as an attorney advisor with the FBI’s National Security Law Branch.
A native of Roanoke, Evans earned his law degree from Yale Law School and graduated summa cum laude with honors from Washington & Lee University with a B.A. degree in Economics. While at Washington & Lee, he was 1st Team Academic All-America in Football.

Andrew joined the firm in 2015 after serving as Law Clerk to the Honorable Patrick R. Johnson in Grundy, Virginia. Andrew graduated from the University of Richmond School of Law and earned his B.S. degree in Molecular Genetics from the University of Rochester in New York.

Scott Stephenson is a partner in the firm’s Commercial Litigation and Appeals and Critical Issues Groups. A native of nearby Salem, Virginia, Scott graduated from the Georgetown University Law Center in 2014 and joined Gentry Locke shortly afterward. Scott practices complex business litigation in both state and federal courts, including disputes over ownership and management rights within businesses, derivative litigation, property disputes, energy litigation, coal, natural gas, and mineral rights litigation, municipal government litigation, and appellate matters. Scott also appears in agency proceedings within the Gas and Oil Division of the Virginia Department of Energy and before the Virginia Gas and Oil Board.
He thrives on the challenges presented by complicated cases and nuanced legal issues; the tougher, the better. Scott particularly enjoys brief writing and oral advocacy, and constantly works on his craft under the mantra that both skills can always be improved.

After several years with the Insurance Defense practice group, she began work in Commercial Litigation with a focus on the areas of local government law (including zoning, subdivision and taxation). Clark Worthy has a B.S. in Finance from the University of Virginia, McIntire School of Commerce and has spent over 34 years working with private corporations on governance, merger and acquisition, real estate, and financing matters, and with individuals on their personal financial matters. For the past 29 years, Clark has primarily devoted his practice to commercial real estate matters including purchases, sales, leases, tax-free exchanges, and financings.
