Brett Marston is an experienced construction contracting, dispute resolution, and OSHA attorney. He also serves as Managing Partner at Gentry Locke and currently holds the position of the 87th President of the Virginia State Bar. As a member of the firm’s Construction Law practice group, he brings substantial expertise in negotiating and drafting construction contracts, resolving payment disputes, handling mechanic’s liens, bond claims, construction defect cases, delay claims, insurance issues, and OSHA matters. Brett represents clients in major construction cases before both federal and state courts, and in mediation and arbitration. He represents general contractors, subcontractors, owners, design professionals, and suppliers. Brett also serves as mediator and arbitrator in commercial disputes, mostly pertaining to construction matters.
Brett has been repeatedly recognized as a Virginia Super Lawyer, consistently appearing on their Virginia Top 10 and Top 100 lists. He has also received the Roanoke Lawyer of the Year for Construction Law honor from The Best Lawyers in America three times. In 2019, Brett was inducted as a Fellow of the Virginia Law Foundation. Todd Leeson is the Chair of Gentry Locke’s Employment law practice group. He has over 35 years of experience representing and advising Virginia employers in employment and labor law matters and litigation. He regularly defends employment claims in Virginia courts and before agencies including the EEOC, National Labor Relations Board (NLRB), DOL, OSHA (whistleblower and retaliation claims), and the corresponding Virginia agencies (DOLI, OCR). His experience includes the defense of companies as to alleged violations of Title VII, ADA, ADEA, FLSA, FMLA, the NLRA, and Virginia employment laws. Todd regularly drafts, enforces, and/or litigates non-compete agreements and executive employment contracts. In addition, he has considerable experience representing management in labor union matters including union avoidance campaigns, unfair labor practice charges and labor arbitrations. He also represents Virginia colleges in various student conduct matters including Title IX and sexual misconduct complaints.

Herschel Keller is a Partner with Gentry Locke, representing businesses, governmental entities, and institutions in Lynchburg and across the Commonwealth through his practice of Corporate and Business Law, Commercial Construction Law and Litigation, Complex Contract Drafting and Negotiation, and Government and Regulatory Affairs. Originally from Ft. Wayne, Indiana, Herschel now lives in Lynchburg, where he has practiced law for the past 20 years. Herschel heads up Gentry Locke’s Lynchburg office and also services clients in our Richmond office. He is active in the community, including serving as past president of the Central District Committee for the Associated General Contractors of Virginia. Prior to joining Gentry Locke, he was Assistant Commonwealth’s Attorney for the City of Lynchburg, and later rose to the role of a principal and an officer of a Lynchburg law firm.

Bill Gust is a Senior Tax Partner with Gentry Locke located in the Roanoke, Virginia office. Travis Graham joined Gentry Locke in 2007 after practicing law in Knoxville, Tennessee for a number of years. Travis represents both plaintiffs and defendants in the state and federal courts of Virginia and Tennessee, and focuses on trust and estate litigation, product liability, personal injury, and complex commercial litigation. He advises outdoor recreation groups on issues of access and liability, and is a frequent writer, lecturer, and consultant on issues of federal and state civil procedure.
